Junior Golf Program

Join Fir State GC  in support of growing the game for the next generation of golfers! Both clubs have combined their efforts to recruit, coach, and support interested youth, ages 9 and older.  The Jr. Fundraising Scramble seeks to raise funds and highlight the accomplishments of our Junior golfers.

During the Tournament, we will be offering a junior golf skills clinic for interested youth;  registration is free and lunch will be provided.

You can support our Juniors in one of 3 ways: participate in the Scramble, become a Tournament Hole Sponsor, or donate directly to the Jr. Golf Program.

Field Limit

Field will be limited to the first 120 entrants. Entries will be accepted according to the time of receipt of entry and entry fee. FSGA reserves the right to modify the field limit to accommodate additional competitors.

Entries: Form, Fee and Closing Date

All players must have an entry application submitted either by: (1) on the FSGC website (firstategolfclub.com) with a credit card, or (2) by mail with a completed paper application form and check or credit card authorization form. Entry fee of $100 must be paid by every player. Payment will be processed at the time of entry. A full refund will be issued to players who are placed on a waiting list and do not make the starting field.

Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by FSGC by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025. Late entry applications may be accepted and used to fill spots; contact Tournament Director after deadline close for waitlist inclusion.

Refund Policy

Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge and must be requested by October 9, 2025. After the close of entry, no refund will be issued except for cancellation of tournament by FSGA or closure of golf course.

Carts

Players are encouraged to ride in a golf cart. Cart fees are included in the entry fee; no refunds will be issued for walking competitors. Non-golfing spectators will be accommodated if cart space is available, RSVP for non-golfer can be made day of competition.

Hole Sponsorship

Becoming a Hole Sponsor of the Jr. Golf Fundraising Scramble is a great way to show your support of  the Jr. Golf Program.  Funds raised from all sponsorships are used to provide equipment and accessories in addition to grants for greens fees, rentals, participation fees, etc. for participating youth. Hole sponsorships are available for a $125 minimum donation.  Your sponsorship includes your business logo at one hole.

Bill Wright Memorial Junior Skills Clinic

Honoring the Fir State Golf Club legend, the William A. “Bill” Wright Junior Skills Clinic seeks to provide an introduction to golf for interested youth age 10 and older.  The clinic will provide instruction for beginners on stance, grip, and swing; participants will receive guidance on driving, chipping, and putting.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own golfing equipment, however, equipment will be available for all participants.
