Each team member will putt first on alternating holes (regardless of who putt-out last on the prior hole). A person or team can compete as many times as they choose too\, with as many partners as they desire. \nScoring Sheet: Teams will call out their total strokes after each hole is competed and the official scorer will fill-in the score for each hole then totals the sum and hand it off to the event chairperson. \nPrize Payouts:\nThe Putting Pot is valued at $10/player and is included in the entry fee. Prize distribution will be distributed as follows: 1st Place (50%)\, 2nd Place (30%)\, and 3rd Place (20%). Payouts will be based on the lowest three (3) team scores. Any ties will be decided via sudden death putt-off for all teams tied after the event. \nNote: Tie breakers will be determined by one team member putting and if the putt is not holed a measurement is taken (from the edge of the hole to the ball) with the closest to the hole being deemed the winner. \n\nEligibility \nEntries are open to amateur golfers who have an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index issued by the USGA and non-indexed golfers. \nAGE:  Players using preferred tee boxes as Senior competitors must have reached their sixty-fifth (65) birthday by April 11\, 2026. Players using preferred tee boxes as Junior competitors must have NOT reached their eighteenth birthday by April 11\, 2026. \nField Limit \nField will be limited to the first 40 entrants. Entries will be accepted according to the time of receipt of entry and entry fee. FSGC reserves the right to modify the field limit to accommodate additional competitors. \nEntries: Form\, Fee and Closing Date \nAll players must have an entry application submitted either by: (1) on the FSGC website (firstategolfclub.com) with a credit card\, or (2) by mail with a completed paper application form and check or credit card authorization form. Entry fee of $190 must be paid by every player. Payment will be processed at the time of entry. A full refund will be issued to players who are placed on a waiting list and do not make the starting field. \nEntry applications\, along with the appropriate fee\, must be completed or received by FSGC by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday\, April 4\, 2026. Late entry applications may be accepted and used to fill spots; contact Team Captain after deadline close for waitlist inclusion. \nRefund Policy \nRefunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry\, no refund will be issued except for cancellation of tournament by FSGC or closure of golf course. \nCarts \nPlayers are encouraged to ride in a golf cart. Cart fees are included in the entry fee; no refunds will be issued for walking competitors. \nEntry Fee Cost $190.00\, Golf Package Includes:  \nGreen Fee + 1/2 Cart\, entry into the Putting Contest\, entry for the Individual Stroke Play Competition\, entry to the Giant Skins Game\, and Lunch Meal. \nNon-Golfer $40.00: Lunch Meal \n  \n\nLunch Meal\n \nTournament Lunch Meal ( 40 Players ) – Themed Buffet from Bogey’s Public House: \nAll American Buffet\nGround chuck burgers and chicken sandwiches served with hamburger buns\, barbecue baked beans\, potatoes salad and cole slaw. Condiments included ketchup\, mustard\, mayo\, relish\, green leaf lettuce\, tomatoes\, onions\, pickles and American & Swiss cheese. Dessert – Assorted Cookies and Brownies. \n  \n\nCompetition\nMasters Competition (Low Handicap\, Mid to High Handicap Divisions) – Net Competition \nLow Handicap (Division A) and Mid/High Handicap (Division B) Divisions will be Net competitions.  Scores will be tallied and prizes awarded for Divisional Champions.  If 6 or more Ladies register for the event\, a Ladies Division will be created and all Ladies will compete in this Division regardless of handicap index. \nTee Box for Masters Tournament \n\nDivision A (Low Handicap) play from the White Tees @ 6\,034 yds\n\nDivision A Seniors (65+)\, Ladies and Juniors play from the preferred Gold Tees\n\n\nDivision B (Mid to High Handicap) play from the White Tees @ 6\,034 yds\n\nDivision B Seniors (65+)\, Ladies and Juniors play from the preferred Gold Tees\n\n\nLadies Division play from the Gold Tees @ 5\,434 yds.\n\nPlaying Divisions \n\nDivision A (Low Handicap): Playing Handicap <13\nDivision B (Mid to High Handicap): Playing Handicap = 13+\n\nFSGC reserves the right to adjust the Handicap cut to achieve a relative balanced Field division. \nHandicapping \nGHIN Requirement: All competitors are required to have a verifiable USGA Index\, Players will receive 100% of their playing handicap for net scoring. The maximum allowable playing handicap per player is 36; a player above this will be reduced to meet this requirement. Players without a verifiable GHIN will be assigned a GHIN = Flight A GHIN Average – 1 . \nTee Pairings \nTee pairings and starting tee times will be posted on this webpage on Friday\, April 10\, 6:00 pm\, check back at that time for your pairing.  Printed Tee Pairings will be available at the Pro Shop\, day of the tournament at 7:30 am. \nAwards \n\n\n\n Division A – Low Gross\, Low Net\, Low Net Runner-up\n Division B – Low Net\, Low Net Runner-up\, Low Net 2nd Runner-up\n Ladies Division – Low Gross\, Low Net\, Low Net Runner-up\n\n\n\nMasters Championship Podium \nSix competitors will qualify for the Championship podium\, based on scoring finish: \n\n\n\nDivision A Low Gross\, Net Champion & Runner-Up\nDivision B Low Net\, Low Net Runner-up\, Low Net 2nd Runner-up\n Ladies Division – Low Gross\, Low Net\, Low Net Runner-up\n\n\n\nMasters Championship Title \nThe Masters Champion Title will be awarded to the podium winner with the lowest overall ranking according to the Combined Finish Index (CFI). CFI = (Overall Gross Place + Overall Net Place)/2. Example: 1st place Low Gross & 5th Place Low Net = 3.0 CFI or 3rd Place Low Gross & 1st Place Low Net = 2.0 CFI. \nPrize Payouts: Payouts for each flight are equal. A player is only eligible for one payout\, meaning the player will not receive payment for both Gross and Net categories\, only where the player earns the largest amount. All ties will be broken using the hole ranking on the score card beginning with the #1 handicapped hole and progressing to the #18 handicapped hole; if the hole ranking cannot break the ties\, then the prize will be divided by the total number of ties. \nSkins Competition \nAll players are entered into the Giant Skins Competition; the skins pot is valued at $10/player and is included in the entry fee. Net Skins will be awarded each hole won (with the exception that only gross scores will be considered on par 3 holes)\, closet to pins on par 3’s\, front 9 low net\, back 9 low net\, and overall low net. \nSide Competitions \nSide Competitions (cash only) will be organized and managed the day of play for Animals\, Calcutta\, etc.  Players desiring to maintain “Amateur” status\, check with Tournament officials before participating. \n  \n\nTournament Rules\nTime of Starting \nIf the player arrives at his starting point\, ready to play\, within five minutes after his starting time\, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 5.3a\, the penalty for failure to start on time (including starting early) is loss of two strokes in stroke play. The penalty for lateness or starting early beyond five minutes is disqualification from stroke play; a score of  ten (10) will be assessed for every hole played by his assigned playing group but missed by the player\, however\, the player can still compete in the skins and close to pin competitions. \nTournament Play Rules apply \nThe Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. Complete text of Rules may be found in the current Rules of Golf. Unless otherwise indicated\, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition: Stroke Play = Two Strokes. \nBalls may be lifted\, cleaned and placed within 1 club length of its original location\, outside of marked Hazards. Balls inside Hazards must be played as they lie. \nBalls within casual water and grounds under repair\, may be lifted cleaned and placed within 1 club length of such area\, but in no instance shall a player improve his lie by moving a ball from a Hazard. \nLost Balls/Balls Out Of Bounds \nWhen a player’s ball has not been found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds\, the player may proceed as follows rather than proceeding under stroke and distance: \n\nBall Reference Point: The point where the original ball is estimated to have:\n\nCome to rest on the course\, or\nLast crossed the edge of the course boundary to go out of bounds.\n\n\nFairway Reference Point: The point of fairway of the hole being played that is nearest to the ball reference point\, but is not nearer the hole than the ball reference point.\n\nFor purposes of this Local Rule\, “fairway” means any part of the general area cut to fairway height or less. \nIf a ball is estimated to be lost on the course or last crossed the edge of the course boundary short of the fairway\, the fairway reference point may be a grass path or a teeing ground for the hole being played cut to fairway height or less. \nSize of Relief Area Based on Reference Points: Anywhere between: \n\nA line from the hole through the ball reference point (and within two club-lengths to the outside of that line)\, and\nA line from the hole through the fairway reference point (and within two club-lengths to the fairway side of that line).\n\nBut with these limits: \nLimits on Location of Relief Area: \n\nMust be in the general area\, and\nMust not be nearer the hole than the ball reference point.\n\nOnce the player puts a ball in play under this Local Rule: \n\nThe original ball is no longer in play and must not be played\nThis is true even if the ball is found on the course before the end of the three-minute search time (see Rule 6.3b).\n\nBut the player may not use this option to take relief for the original ball when: \n\n That ball is known or virtually certain to have come to rest in a penalty area\, or\n The player has played another ball provisionally under penalty of stroke and distance (see Rule 18.3).\n\nA player may use this option to take relief for a provisional ball that has not been found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds. \nPenalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 14.7a \n**In the event that there is confusion at any time. Please proceed under the provisions for “playing 2 balls” keeping both holed out scores and bring the matter to the Tournament Committee at the end of the round. \nTournament Maximum Double Par Stroke Rule \nPar 3’s Max six (6) Strokes\, Par 4’s Max eight (8) strokes\, Par 5’s Max ten (10) strokes. If your next stroke results in double par on any hole\, please pick up and move to the next hole to tee-off. \nOn Course Discrepancies \nFirst try to resolve the issue within the group\, if the players cannot solve the issue. Play two balls and report discrepancies to a tournament rules committee member immediately after the round. Have fun\, show integrity and respect to your playing partner and everyone on the golf course. \nClosest to Pins (KP’s): Please make sure you or the member(s) of your group record their name on the correct sign for flights. NO VALIDATION REQUIRED (meaning you do not have to par the hole). \nScore Cards: Electronic scoring will be used\, at least one person in each playing group is responsible for entering electronic scores for each player of the group during the round. An invitation to the electronic scoring app\, Unknown Golf\, will be transmitted to each player in their Welcome Package and will be available at Tournament sign in. \n\nA hardcopy backup is required\, please do not total scores on the card\, only enter the score made on each hole.\nAll player signatures must be recorded on the hardcopy scorecard.\nTurn scorecards in immediately after completion of play.\nPlease keep a second card for validation and personal use.\n\nTo break all ties\, the Committee will use the hole ranking on the score card for the tournament\, if the hole ranking cannot break the ties\, then divide the prize awarded by the total number of ties. \n\nFSGC Pace of Play Requirements\nAll participants shall play Ready Golf throughout the Event \nEach group will be required to finish their round in 4 hours and 30 minutes with the following provisions: \nOUT OF POSITION DEFINITION\nYour group is considered to be OUT OF POSITION when both of the following conditions are present: \nYour group is more than 15 minutes behind the group in front of your group (timed from flag in to flag in)…AND \nYour group is playing slower than an average of 15 minutes per hole. The time is computed from the time the first player in the group teed off on the first hole. The subsequent holes are timed from flagstick in to flagstick in. \nTIMING CRITERIA:\nWhen a group is out of position\, they are subject to timing. Players must play each shot in no more than 40 seconds from the time the shot\, played by your fellow competitor before you\, comes to rest. On the putting green\, timing will begin after a reasonable amount of time is allowed (for the first player to putt) to mark\, lift\, clean and replace the ball\, repair his/her ball mark\, and\, on the line of putt\, repair other ball marks and remove loose impediments. On the teeing ground\, timing will begin after a reasonable amount of time is allowed (for the first player to play) club selection and updating scorecard etc. Undue delay may also occur between strokes and will be considered by the committee in the resolution of any appeals or in timing play or a match\, e.g.\, stopping for the beverage cart\, leaving the course to pickup beverages at the clubhouse or stopping at the turn. \nPENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 6-7: \nFirst offense – Warning\nSecond offense – One stroke;\nThird offense – Two strokes.\nFor subsequent offense – Disqualification \n\nFSGC Code of Conduct Policy\nFSGC expects all contestants\, caddies\, gallery\, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on golf course property during a FSGC Club Play or Tournament. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification\, at any time\, from any FSGC event.  The entire policy may be found at: FSGC Code of Conduct Policy \nDress Code\nThe dress code applies to members and guests of all ages. Members are responsible for adhering to the dress code as well as ensuring child and guest compliance. Those not in compliance with the dress code will be notified of the infraction by the management. At no time shall a member confront another member over dress code issues. The Dress Code may be found at: Dress Code \n\nTournament Amatuer Status Rule\nUSGA Rule 3b applies to all FSGC Tournaments \nAll golfers are amateurs unless they: \n1. Accept a prize that is not allowed under Rule 3b : Prizes\, \nRule 3b. Handicap Competitions \nAn amateur playing in a handicap competition is not allowed to accept prize money\, but may accept any other prize up to a limit of £700 or US$1\,000 in value\, per competition\, unless the national governing body has set a lower limit. \nNote: The following exceptions are okay for amateurs to participate-in and accepting cash prizes: Closest to Pins Competition\, Skin Games and Putting Contest. FSGC Junior Golfers participating in the tournament using the scholarship entry fee are only eligible to receive to non-cash prizes up to a limit of £700 or US$1\,000 in value\, per competition\, unless the national governing body has set a lower limit. \n2.
